A blog that will simply keep track of my strength/fitness and health/wellness goals and my lifting regime for any given day, occasional body measurement updates, some advice or personal opinions and experiences regarding certain aspects of strength/fitness/health/nutrition, and maybe some inspiring or motivational pictures, videos, and quotes. I suppose I'm doing this more for myself than anything else, so I can keep my routines organized and see what works best for me, through being able to look back at everything I've done and the success and progress that I've had. But, I'm also looking to help or inspire others as well, who are also looking to improve their body or strength levels and overall physical fitness or athletic abilities. For me, it's not about starting and finishing, its about starting and continuing - since "finishing" suggests that you will bring it to a stop. I don't plan on stopping. I plan on improving even more, day in and day out.

floydmayweather:

Look great. Feel great at 146.

The weigh in from earlier tonight.
The fight is tomorrow night,
and I’m gonna have to say my money is on Money May.
I’m not particularly fond of people who talk a mess
about other people,
but,
at the end of the day,
its done in the name of entertainment
and for the sake of bringing attention to the fight and the sport.
And lots of people make Floyd out to be the villian
based on the fact that he’s not afraid to speak his mind.
However,
they don’t highlight the fact that these people are also
bad mouthing him.
Guerrero be talking about how disrespectful Floyd is
and how Guerrero is a true boxer, a gentleman
yet he continually attempts to belittle Floyd as a man
since Mayweather gets foot massages,
face massages,
and manicures.
Apparently, the person who has masculinity issues
is you,
not him.
He’s comfortable with getting manicures
and referring to himself as “Pretty Boy Floyd”.
Being a man isn’t about whether or not
you make sure your feet and hands
and entire appearance is well-groomed.
Being a man is about being strong
being present
and providing for your family.
& If you haven’t noticed,
Floyd provides for WAY more people
than just his immediate family.
Floyd could easily clear out the gym
and be content with 3 or 4 people
in the gym to train him.
But he has many more than that.
It isn’t because he needs them there,
he doesn’t,
its because he knows they need him
and he’s looking out for them.
He’s making sure they are clothed,
fed,
housed,
and employed.
& There’s nobody in this world
that can not give him his credit in those regards.
Sure, he likes fancy stuff
and probably spent a bit too much on his cars
or whatever it is.
But at the end of the day,
he’s making sure his family is provided for
and that’s what matters.
But yeah,
other than that,
I really don’t think Guerrero is ready for this fight.
I mean, sure, he’s trained hard
but,
I think Floyd’s patience,
defensive prowess,
hand speed,
and counter-punching ability
is more than Guerrero is prepared to be up against.
Likewise,
although Guerrero’s camp always talks about his speed
I’ve been watching his previous fight clips
and, well,
he doesn’t appear all that fast.
Punches come at you in the ring
way faster than a slip ball comes at you in training.
Likewise,
Guerrero seems to lack defense a bit,
his pops talked about Mayweather getting hit a lot,
but,
Guerrero gets hit quite a bit
and I’d wager that Floyd’s defensive
is quite a bit superior to Guerrero’s.
That being said,
If I had money,
I’d put my money is on Mayweather.
& Then I’d take my winnings
and buy a bunch of boxing equipment for myself
so that I can turn pro.
=P
(seriously, tho. I would do that).
